The Challenge:
Simoldes Tools has chosen Autodesk Platform as a global solution for their company worldwide. Their main need is to improve their operational efficiency through out all the product life cycle management mainly in the mould manufacturing sector. Simoldes Tools manufactures European quality tools for the injection of thermoplastics with worldwide assistance since 1959, providing complete solutions throughout the product lifecycle. That is why Simoldes adopted Fusion 360 platform for Manufacturing and Vault Professional in a premium plan global contract with Autodesk.
Autodesk Fusion 360 platform will allow Simoldes to implement a solution that ensures that everyone is working with the most up-to-date information in a system that automatically tracks changes, maintains past file versions, and captures the entire history of their designs for manufacturing.
Additionally, Autodesk extended the Premium Platform to the rest of Simoldes manufacturing areas such as the Additive Manufacturing Department integrating Fusion 360 with Netfabb and the Injection Process Simulation departments with Autodesk Moldflow.

By then most of the work was hand made. Over the past 63 years Simoldes Tools grew to become the biggest Mould manufacturer in Europe with plants in Portugal, Germany, Brasil and Argentina along with several other technical commercial offices in many other countries. Experience and Vision allowed Simoldes Tools to evolve from a small hand manufacturer to a world leading company with a strong investment in technology not only in the mouldmaking business but also in additive manufacturing.
